The second book in The Watch Series, this book contains mysterious elements that kept reading to the end of the book. With murder, politicians, sisters, and more the characters made this story come to life. I loved how CeCe demonstrated that not everyone breezes through the opening steps of a potential relationship. Instead, she shows how we often put our feet in our mouths when trying to be witty. Containing faith elements and being a clean-read cozy mystery made this book a great book for me.

I found myself unable to put it down. I loved how CeCe and Kathryn, who are half-sisters work with law enforcement to solve this mystery. I felt the ending suited the story and wrapped things up to my satisfaction. So check out this book for yourself.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but this in o way influenced my review. All opinions are my own ( )

What do you do if you believe that your friend has been wrongly accused of murder? If you're Kathryn Frasier, you set out to prove his innocence, and you do your best to solve the intricate puzzle of clues that surround the case. Dead Man's Watch allows readers to reconnect with Kathryn and her half-sister CeCe Goldman, as they diligently work to solve this case, and it gives these sisters a chance to deepen their recently discovered connection.

Author Kay DiBianca throws in twists and turns, and many complicated clues, to make this a must-read for mystery lovers, and she uses Kathryn's ability to solve puzzles and CeCe's acting talents to help in solving the mystery. She also shares many mentions of faith and trust, and the profound reminder that "Saving one life is like saving the whole world."

Dead Man's Watch is the second book in the "The Watch" Series and a watch is once again a part of the plot. Interesting characters and some light romance add to this book's appeal, making it a perfect read for all who enjoy cozy mysteries.

I received a copy of this book from the author via Celebrate Lit. A positive review was never required. These are my own thoughts. ( )

This was such a fun story to read. I loved the setting and how exciting the mystery was. I have found two new characters to follow that are funny and always looking to help others. Kathryn and CeCe find themselves stumbling upon a body that opens the door for a line of suspects. I thought they were in over their heads at times and getting hurt a little too much. Oh these weren’t accidents but attempts on their lives. I guess when you get close to the truth, someone doesn’t want it to come out.

The story moves at a good pace and the author does a great job of leaving subtle hints to help readers figure out the mystery. Oh yes I was so sure I knew the who, why, what and when. Good thing I don’t make a living as a detective. I was fooled and so off track that the ending caught me by surprise. I liked how Kathryn kept her word and repaid a debt. Overall good story with characters that are intriguing. Now what about the watch you ask? Well you will have to read the story to see what the significance of the watch is.

I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit. The review is my own opinion. ( )
