They're trying, but trouble seems to find them. First, Connor is a Fae male who introduces himself to her as her betrothed - her father, the Autumn King, seems to have plans for her. And then she finds out a boy is missing and various factions, including the human rebels who want to overthrow the Asteri, are after him. Bryce, her brother Ruhn, Hunt, and friends will have to use all their ingenuity to stay a step ahead of their enemies. If you've been following Sarah J. Maas's series up to this point, you pretty much know what you're in for, right? Horny faeries - or, well, in this case angel and half-human, half-Fae - plot twists, and lots of banter in a very long book. And that's exactly what this book delivers. It took me a very long time to read, it takes several hundred pages to actually set up the story (while I fortunately followed along because I like the characters), and then the ending basically left me gasping and ready for the next book. Just finished. All I have to say right now is you've got to be fucking kidding me. Currently processing... I need a minute. This book destroyed me, this series will be the end of me This was a good sequel and it was in line with my expecations. The sequel takes into account the POV of some of the most charisched characters (Bryce, Hunt, Ruhn, Ithan e Tharion), contributing to a stonger character and story development. The story was fast paced with a lot of action and I especially enjoyed how the team and Vanir powers are working. Unfortunately (and as expected) it ends in a cliffhanger. Note to self (yet again): do not start to read book series before they all have been written. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

4.5/5 Stars ⭐️! Wow, is all I can say after finishing this tome. Lots and lots of detail and continued world building in this book, but with so many twists and turns, you better wear your seatbelt. Loved getting to see the continued development of Bryce and Hunt’s relationship, as well as the many friendships. That ending 😲. The spicy in this book wasn’t exactly my taste, but I can’t wait for the next installment! (
