An interesting start to the series, its a lot of intial set up so some of the unexperienced can get lost, but honestly its off to a great set up. I love Sejic's stuff. ( )

The artist is the reason I requested the book. The story is supposed to be a contest between a succubus and incubi and their seduction of a woman to see who is the top cubi. The only downside most of the story here is set up to get to the contest. Most of the story is the backstory for Lauren and how she got to the point in her life that she agrees to sign a contract with the cubi, what the cubi get is power to be able to reproduce so they very much want these contracts to work and in the very beginning a contract was signed by someone that was asexual, so the contract went unfulfilled and caused quite a few problems. In the end this is a setup for a more issues of this comic and I hope that more of it gets done. The art is amazing and there is adult content so you might not wan to leave it lying around for just anyone to pick up.

Couldn't keep track of all the characters. Way too much mystical nonsense going on. And I have no idea who the main character is. Just way too complicated for what I was expecting ( )

I was hoping for some fun fantasy erotica, but this is only occasionally erotic and mostly stuffed with dull fantasy. Greek gods, incubi, succubi, and cupids are in some sort of competition to bind humans to sexual contracts that produce the seeds needed to grow and make ambrosia. And some fuss is made about love versus desire. Caught up in this is Lauren Thompson, a human whose life was ruined when she takes of her college braces and becomes a successful supermodel.

It felt like so much throat clearing as characters are introduced and connections made between them. Maybe things will pick up next volume. At the very least, I'll be back to check out Šejić's pretty drawings of pretty people having pretty sex. That's always worthwhile. ( )

Cubi and cupids exist, but humanity's dwindling faith has made the the source of their immortality scarce. In order to cultivate ambrosia, the Cubi make contracts with humans to fulfill their carnal desires in exchange for empowering ambrosia seeds. The succubus Merryl has secured two coveted golden contracts, but love and lust are never that easy and everything goes awry. This was a delightful, sexy romp with surprising heart. The art is stunning and the story truly engaging. I cannot wait for volume 2 and have already ordered the author's Sunstone collections. ( )
