I loved that in the world of Midscape, vampires (vampir) are not wired to be vicious monsters, but rather they are a kind species and one of the most vulnerable in Midscape. Ruvan, the mysterious vampire lord, is a testament to that. Though I wanted more depth from his character initially, his coldness melting into vulnerability with Flor made it worth the wait. I really came to love Ruvan 🥰. A Duel with a Vampire Lord was a gripping read that wrapped up nicely, giving me all the feel-good feels! 4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the series. I liked this one better than the second one because it was a mystery type story. I just wanted to find out how everything had gotten to the point it was at in the book. So I was definitely invested the entire time I was reading it. I would like to give it a solid 4 stars but there were a lot of typos and it really just needed another few rounds of grammatical editing done to it. Other than that I think it was a great book.
