Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I was planning to read horror all October this year. Then this quick, witchy title popped up in my list of "how long have I owned this without reading it?" books. Perfect timing too, because the last few days have been wicked migraine central for me. Horror isn't a good match for that. This cozy witch story has within its lines both eloquent poetry and deep wisdom. Plus some romance, and a few good belly laughs. It's a good and fun read - well-written for its genre! Apparently, Geary has plunked me down smack in the middle of a group of related books. They will be a wonderful world to explore over the next several months. Good solid 3 stars! I made it almost 3/4 of the way through An Imperfect Witch before reaching for the Kleenex. It was close a couple of times but I made it. I think everyone fell a bit in love with Lizard during the Witchlight Trilogy, at least I did. At only 21, Lizard had an extremely difficult life and now, over two years later, that life has come full circle with unexpected surprises. Read my complete review here: http://www.justtalkingbooks.com/1/post/2013/10/review-an-imperfect-witchwitch-ce... While the Modern Witch series may have ended all the great characters and the wonderful writing are still all here. Geary has created some amazing characters that continue to grow from book to book. This was a Lizard centered book and almost felt like it could have been the fourth book in the Witchlight series. Lizard's story takes some big steps. We see her continued growth while she still struggles with some ghosts from her past. I can't wait to see what more is in store for her. Nell's brood is present as always, though I do feel bad for Nathan since his character is almost always off the page compared to his three younger siblings. As always it was great to see Lauren whose story started it all when she was thrust into Witch Central. Her husband Devin and their cat Fuzzball's had a little adventure that might have been one of the more oddball and great parts of the book. My only complaint as always is not being able to see all of the great characters featured in this book. If the author had one flaw is that she almost has to many characters. Despite the quantity she has somehow managed to flesh each and everyone out to the point that you actually miss then when you visit this world and they are not there for you to catch up with. Luckily for her readers this seems part of the reason that she has been so prolific in her writing within this. While normally I would be leery of a series of book all published in such a short time span this series proves a great series doesn't have to make readers wait years for the next installment. They are all amazing and build upon one another. Also I love that these books are self published and I don't think they would be the same if they weren't. It's amazing to see their continued success depite for the most part only available withing the Amazon world. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

I found Lizard to be particularly trying. It had been over two years since she got thrown into Witch Central, and yet she had never gotten her life together until now? I don't buy that. As if the meddlers at the center of the witching community would have left her alone for that long! It was as if nothing had changed for her between Witches in Flight and this book, which just did not seem plausible.
Still, I'm glad to see the gang all back together. ( )
