Volume four takes us back in time where we find Erica and the first monster she ever encountered. We find her mentor who welcomes her into the society as well as all the missing information we have needed about the society. It’s inner workings, the masks, the colors, all of it. Out of all the books in the series, this one went by the fastest. I’d be interested in knowing where Erica‘s mentor and her “brother” are now. Overall, I continue to love this story and I’m very thankful I have book number five to get me going next. ( ) The story jumps back in time to show how Erica was recruited and inducted into the House of Slaughter and the Order of St. George. Thanks to the character interactions, I was totally enthralled even if the ending was a bit flat in execution and there wasn't much tension since the result was already obvious from reading previous books. Definitely a journey-not-the-destination book that I gobbled too quickly, leaving me ravenous for the next. This volume explores the beginning of Erica Slaughter and her journey of joining the House of Slaughter. This collections has issues #16-20 of Something is Killing the Children. I'm so glad we got the origins of Erica and her story! It doesn't really contain anything crazy or surprising, but it is interesting and adds to the backstory of not only Erica, but of the House of Slaughter and even Aaron. Very excited to continue the story in the House of Slaughter comics coming out. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
