I don't like to give a bad review for an inoffensive book but I'd have to file this under 'D' for disappointing. What I'd hoped for was something that would have given a bit of background on the recipes and a bit of insight into the peculiarities of cooking sweet things with a microwave.

I don't think this does the job. I got a better illustrated and more informative collection of twenty recipes by typing "easy microwave homemade treats" into a search engine.

I enjoy cookery books but this is just a folder of twenty scribbled recipes where you are left to guess at what added value microwaves bring to it. "Melt all dry ingredients and vanilla"? If I'm not even going to get a hint of how to do it safely in a microwave, I might as well just make it up myself. ( )

This little book pulls together about 3 dozen candies that can be made at home with minimal fuss. Despite the title of the book, many treats don't require a microwave at all. The text is written in Australian and some of the ingredients and cooking terms (e.g. lamington pan) will be mysteries to US cooks. Internet to the rescue.

While all of these recipes are available online, it's convenient to have them all here in one place.

Delicious and easy recipes. Easy to follow directions. I want to try every single recipe and can not wait to make them with my child. 

My daughter made me make the chocolate fudge, which was a huge success! It was very easy to make with few ingredients, that are easily found everywhere (I live in Sweden). And it tasted great!
Will try more recipes when I remember to buy the ingredients, so this review will likely be updated.

A concise introduction to candy-making that would make a good entry-level book for anyone who is hesitant to make boiled sweets on the stove top. The fudge recipes, in particular, would be a great starting point. ( )
