The merry band of Richard, Kahlan and Zed from book 1 branch out into 3 separate story lines, but each story line holds your interest. Some interesting new characters enter the work: Sister Verna, Warren, and my favorite, Gretch. It's a very long book, but the story moves along and will keep you engaged. After listening to book 1, book 2, and the prequel Debt of Bones, I'm a pretty big fan of the series. I'm finding it far less boring and much more fun than the Wheel of Time series. Enjoyed the book, but cringed constantly at the similarity between this book at the Wheel of Time series by robert jordan. Sisters, Novices, Sisters of the dark, Men being collared, the keeper, the seals. there was more but can;t think of them at the moment. Another great fantasy adventure from Goodkind. I didnt want to put it down! While often these larger and longer series can be hard to keep up with Goodkind does a great job of keeping you engaged and making the story easy to follow. (
