S'està carregant… Roald Dahl's Revolting Rhymes (1982)de Roald Dahl

No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. Found in the juvenile section of my local public library. Word of caution for teachers or those who read aloud to their children: read it first! May not be the most appropriate twisted tale for young ones. I quite enjoyed them, but I am an adult who is pretty twisted. ( ![]() Fun little verse forays into fairy tales and rhymes were things veer off in Dahlian directions. I listened to this as light relief - and it was perfect. It tells 6 fairy tales with somewhat different outcomes than usual. The beginning of the first explains that you might think you know the story, but that's not what actually happened - that's just the story for children. All in rhyme, it is just perfect in audio format. The turn of phrase is just brilliant, and, at times, laugh out loud funny. There are the twists on the tale you think you know, and just the use of language that takes you to unexpected places. It's not all in trivial language either, and I think that adds to the appeal. I can see this being fun to read to a child - enjoyable for adult and child. This left me with a smile on my face. Six of the best-known fairy tales are retold, with some extremely surprising twists, by the master of the comic and the bloodcurdling - Roald Dahl. Great book with poetry for children. The book focuses on revolting but fun rhymes for children to play with. Would be suitable for second grade and up. The art work is water colored as well as mostly hand drawn.
