Unofficially known as "the patron saint of the internet." Blessed Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) is a role model for today's teens and adolescents. A son of the millennial generation, the young Italian enjoyed soccer, computers, and video games and-unlike many peers-he was firmly committed to the Mass, confession, and prayer. He used his computer savvy to spread devotion to the Eucharist and understanding of Church teachings. Carlo's exhibit on eucharistic miracles began serving Christ in countless ways, even after he was diagnosed with leukemia. He died at age fifteen. Pope Francis beatified the teenager on October 10, 2020. Carlo Acutis reminds us to maintain a proper perspective when our frantic lifestyle feels out of balance and compromised by many pervasive, seductive forces. Blessed Carlo said.
