I would say this book would fall under the genera of poetry and non-fiction. It rhymes, and states fact. This book breaks the alphabet down one letter at a time and shows us the different sounds each letter makes. Also, it shows us the way the same letter could be a silent letter and be part of the word but not be used. I would read this book to my first and second graders so they could understand how the letters work. Its a great and simple way to help some students learn how to read. ( )
