Si todo iba bien, Karadur podría planear el rescate de la amada esposa de Jorian, la reina Estrildis, presa en Xylar. Y Jorian debería ser nombrado relojero mayor de Iraz, un puesto que le exigiría romper un asedio pirata, aplacar a una sacerdotisa enamorada y ponerse, por lo menos, un paso por delante de la Real Guardia de Xylar ... ¡donde se le buscaba como estrella principal de una decapitación real!
Ex-King Jorian gets called upon by his friend and colleague Karador to fulfill the dual prophesies of the Kingdom of Iraz. The first prophecy states that Iraz will be saved by a barbarian. The second, that Iraz will be saved only when the clock starts working again. Fortunately, for our hero, his father was the one who installed the clock in the first place, so he kind of has a head start. As usual, Jorian makes time with the ladies, pines for his lost Estrildis, tells stories and talks a king out of his bathtub. ( )
