Disney Nursery Rhymes & Fairy Tales (edició 2008)

This Disney twist to classic fairytales and folklore was very comical. I read this book in my best Disney voices trying to imitate the characters and it seemed to be very impressive to the kids I read it to. My favorite story was the remake of Little Red Riding Hood. Minnie aside from her famous chocolate oatmeal cookies had a tin full of menthols to help her grandmother get better. In the end Pete ended up trying to trick Minnie into thinking he was the grandmother and stealing the tin that he thought were cookies but was actually menthols. I think it would be a fun lesson to teach about lying, stealing, cooking, taking care of others, there are so many possibilities; and all of them would be very engaging. I wasn't expecting this book to be as good as it was mainly because I have seen the death trend in Disney productions so I assumed this would highlight most of the same, but to my surprise it told the same classic tales in a more whimsical way. I enjoyed reading these stories. ( )
