Though I liked Elijah for the most part, the Nightwalker series is starting to lose my interest a little. I found Siena very annoying and felt that Elijah could have had a better mate. I understood her reasoning to deny what was happening, but it was too extreme. The romances remain sappy and apparently I prefer a little more grit to paranormal romances. I much prefer to read about the actual plot of the book instead of the romance. Surprisingly, (for me, at least), I find the romances distracting and I wish these books were urban fantasy instead. I think Frank does a pretty good job with the world-building and I wish that would be her main focus. Started to jump into this book but decided to finish out the Sazi books that I had on hand so put it on 'hold'. Well I've read more of the book and if you want lots of hot steamy sex scenes as part of your summer reading - this is your book! I need to wrap this up because Damien is coming from the library in a couple days. Stayed up late last night and finished reading. Skipped over the many pages of sex to get back to the story and finish. I can always go back and read that. ;^) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

Some feelings you just can't fight. He is known as the Warrior Captain-a master of every weapon, a fierce soldier sworn to protect his kind. Powerful, relentless, merciless, Elijah has always won every battle he's ever taken on-until now. Ambushed by necromancers, he is left for dead only to be discovered by the woman who could very well deliver the final blow: Siena, the Lycanthrope Queen. With three centuries of warring, little more than a decade of uneasy peace has existed between the Lycanthropes and Elijah's people. Now, after a lifetime of suspicion, the warrior in Elijah is consumed with a different battle-winning Siena's heart by giving her pleasure beyond all boundaries. What starts as attraction and arousal soon burns into a passion with consequences that will echo through the ages for both their people. And as would-be enemies become inseparable lovers, another threat approaches, one with the power to destroy them all. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
