The beautiful illustrations and easy-to-understand narrative make it easy for students to understand the life cycle of a flower. I coupled this with a sequencing activity. ( ) I like the middle part of the book that shows the many ways seeds can miss the opportunity to sprout and become full-grown plants, but I dislike that the beginning and end have bad information about things in our atmosphere catching fire from the sun and a flower that grows taller than trees and houses. That nonsense spoils it for me. Eric Carle beautifully describes an adventurous story about some seeds that are carried on the wind throughout the seasons. Some of the adventures lend themselves to peril, but one tiny seed seems to make it all the way to a positive resting place so that it too may grow into a flower and make its own seeds...only to start the cycle all over again. Carle writes amazingly well a story that is actually informational text. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
