This is not as good as the current books in this series. It’s also really showing it’s age (pre-metoo) with some of the consent tropes. Both books do the “I’m going to kiss you, you’re going to say no, but then you will like it, and say yes,” thing which I now really don’t like reading. I went into back catalog looking for more to read. Don’t go this far back. ( )
This book is ridiculous. I mean it has unrealistic beautiful people. Tons of sex. Woman and men have their own 'roles' but think they are badass for breaking them. And many more things that bug me.
I loved it.
All because...well it is ridiculous but also fun.
Also it is what it is. It's a book about two people who want to bang each other in the worst way.
They do... a lot.
And make a lot of jokes on the way. And mess with their family.
I find this full of cliches, especially on the urban fantasy part and I just can't deal with it. Not my cup of tea. Also a bit too macho hero for my taste... ( )
