This book tells the amazing tales of how mistakes led to some of the greatest inventions in history, like chocolate chip cookies! Each story tells of how an accident became a wonderful discovery. This would be a great book to keep in a class room for students to browse through. It teaches kids to never give up and to keep trying, some of the greatest rewards can come from mistakes. Who knows what the students in our classes might invent given the right encouragement and inspiration! ( )

This book covers many common inventions that youths may be familiar with. Jones gives a brief explanation on how these inventions came into existence while using funny graphics. I would use this book as a classroom library item because it is informative and humorous. This is my favorite balance. ( )

A fun book filled with summaries of the stories behind the mostly accidental creation of some nifty inventions. Focused on the curiousity of those who witness something unusual and don't toss product. They think about what problem that 'surprise reaction' could fix. Book shows that making mistakes isn't a waste of time.

Good read.
