Minty is now a wife to Patrick and a mother to twins. The twins have kept her exhausted and busy and her job as Lady of Eden Hall has been neglected, and so has her husband (who by the way has grown on me and I think he is a great, understanding, patient and loving man). Minty will hire a lady who in the past wanted her home, her husband and Minty ruined, but who has supposedly changed her ways. Things will start to happen; 'accidents'(?) that will start to worry Minty that her life is in danger. Minty will have to hold Eden Hall together, patch up her marriage, learn to accept help with her children and find out who is trying to do her harm. If she thought she was exhausted at the beginning of the book, I was exhausted for her by the end. There are so many different and complex characters in this story that I have come to know and appreciate by reading this series, that I highly recommend you read these stories in the order they were written.
The author did a great job of making this story believable, even though not many people would go the extra mile the way Minty did for some. I appreciated the way the author showed that if you cling to the Lord and cast your burdens upon Him, He will see you through because He is always with you. A good series that I am glad I found and read. Hope you will enjoy your time at Eden Hall too. ( )
