A great introduction on what pi is for kids. Unfortunately, pi is estimated at one seventh, which is a rational number; pi is an irrational number. The names of the characters are creative and pun-ny. ( )

Not only is this a great story about a boy trying to save his dad from being a dragon forever this is a great book for students to read when learning about circumference, diameter, and circles. The boy, Radius, has to use circle calculations and find the number pi in order to save his father from being a dragon forever. This is great to show where we get pi from in math, as well as to introduce circles to students. ( )
