She has to leave all of the things she loves because her father has lost his job. This story is relatable to so many children and even adults. At any given moment, your whole life can be uprooted and changed drastically and you must adapt to these changes. ( )

This book is very touching about a girl who loves her life. It is full of emotion and is set up in a poetry format. It is interesting to read a story in a different way than normal. It has a lot of voice throughout so you know what Diana is thinking exactly by sharing her feelings a lot. Imagery is a big thing within the book too. ( )

This book was like a big hug from your mom. The novel in verse isn't my favorite but this worked very well. The story was simple and sweet but universal. Great pick for the Bluestem list. ( )
