I like this book because it shoes that kids do not have to be scared of the dentist. (

Max has a great smile. Of course, in these books, Max has a crazy smile, but that's part of the fun of these illustrations. (

1. This book is about a little boys (Max) visit to the dentist for a check-up, and proper dental care for children.

2. Unrealistic, I never experienced a visit to the dentist as the one illustrated in this book. I have never left the dentist office smiling, but I left in pain. It is a great book to example correct oral- hygiene care for children.

3. I would use this book in conjunction with the dentist and their assistance visit to the school to reinforce the importance of proper brushing and dental care. I would also highlight the careers in the local community. (
