![]() No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. From Daniel Christensen An ocean of ink has been spilt commenting on the Sermon on the Mount. This book is a gem floating on that ocean. Spending each day reading these great sermons from Lloyd-Jones one of the great preaches of England. Former pastor at Westminster in London. I have gained a much better understanding of this section from the book of Matthew. I love the way Lloyd-Jones writes and can hardly wait to sink my teeth into a new biography that I picked up from Banner of Truth publishing. This weighty tome cannot fail to challenge and inspire any Christian who is serious about their faith. It has taken me more than a year to read it, as it is meaty and requires time to consider each chapter. I plan to go back to the beginning and start again when I have finished, as it has taught me so much. This book is, without a shadow of a doubt, the very best book I have ever read on the teachings of our Lord in his "Sermon on the Mount." I joyfully recommend this book to anyone who wishes to understand this unique sermon of Jesus Christ. Of all the books written upon this subject, this one book stands alone in its depth and clarity of teaching. It is lightyears ahead of any other material I have ever read about the subject. In my opinion, it stands second only to Christ's sermon itself. (I will also gladly recommend any book written by David Martyn Lloyd-Jones.) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
With characteristic insight, Dr D. Martyn Lloyd-jones here offers a detailed and comprehensive exposition of one of the best known but most frequently misunderstood passages of scripture - the Sermon on the Mount/ The Sermon on the Mount, says Lloyd-Jones, is not a code of ethics or morals; it is a description of what Christians are meant to be. With his eye always on both Scripture and life, he explains and applied Christ's teaching for Christians struggling to live like Christ. Originally delivered as sermons, the sixty studies in this devotional classic provide a fine example of clear, consecutive expository preaching from one of the greatest preachers of our time.
