This is one book with three novels in it and I loved each one! Rabbi Small is a young rabbi just entering his first temple appointment. A young girl in the community is killed and her body is left on the temple property and her handbag is in the rabbi's car! Somehow, he figures out who the killer is and also makes a friend in the chief of police, Lanigan. This comes in handy in both the other novels and the rabbi does it again and gains the respect of many unwilling people in his temple. Good stories and characters! ( )
