A good read aloud for younger children. A wholesome adventure by three cousins. No name calling, no commercialism, no bad behavior by characters. Happy to have a series where I don't have to edit as I read aloud to my 4 year old. This story shows that families can have non-traditional structures as these three 9 yr old cousins live together with their aunt for the summer. The girls are industrious and creative and each has their own distinct talents and personality. This is a good series for girls grade s2-4. The themes are safe and comforting.
