I liked that the hero spent a lot of time with the heroine as a wolf when she didn't know he was a shifter. The magic is different from most paranormals and is an interesting take on things. The world seems pretty well thought out. Short book so not a lot of character development or stuff going on but pretty good for its length. ( ) Terrible book. Wondering how I even completed this story. It has wolves, witches, owls, Doe , eagles...possible all mystical creatures which can be put inside a fantasy story. What the story really lacks is the adventure and quests of any fantasy series. This is a desperate attempt to get into the league but this book should perhaps be categorized under subtle erotica!! I hated every part of the book. The characters are too weak and contradict their own characters. Their existensial struggle in the manifestation of the characters in the story is equally pitiful as the author's struggle to bring them to life in the story. It is not romance. It is just sensually elaborated desire of a woman who wants to get intimate with a good looking man. The characters are in search of their own better selves from the beginning of the story. The man and woman are attracted to each other from the first time they see each other ..and their sexual drive to each other is so ridiculously high that they think only about that 24x7. The story then goes to depict that making love to a person whom one is mysteriously attracted to is how one might find the purpose and meaning of their life. This was totally illogical to me. Very amateurish for Nora Roberts to attempt this genre. Terrible book. Wondering how I even completed this story. You can check them out here Here There was just something about the whole wolf man thing that just didn't really sit right with me. That and Liam was an asshat. The real reason I read this Donovan novel was because of the brief appearance of his cousins that I love form the other three books. I don't really have much more to say, other then, I was very disappointed with this. Keep Looking up Emily I really liked Rowan Murray and her reasons for moving to her friend's cabin and her growth of backbone while she did it. I liked it. Liam Donovan grew on me but I didn't really see a development of a relationship and most of the supernatural was very much incidental, you could have removed most of it without really changing the story much, except the shape-shifting, I loved how she fell in love with the wolf-him first. It was a fun read, light and entertaining.Originally published in 1999 it combines a minor bit of supernatural with the romance and melds the two well. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
