I believe the book is better suited for those of us who have watched the series. There are many characters, some of which show up in the comics very briefly, so it may be confusing to non-viewers. Many artists contributed to the series of comics, so not all of the chapters have the same artwork. Naturally, some art is better than others, and some of the artwork is stunningly beautiful! Everyone who has seen the show should enjoy this hardcover book. It is a nice supplement to the show.
