HTML: Penned by an officer who had a bird's-eye view of the action, this detailed narrative of Canada's role in World War I is a must-read for history buffs who are looking for a unique view of the conflict -- one that is all too often glossed over in traditional, European-centric accounts. .No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

The book reads like a far right politician arguing the merits of the First World War and how it relates to Canada, with a far left politician. The reality, as usual in these cases, lies somewhere in the middle. Desjardins writes of how the German nation must be beaten, and beaten down hard. They must be punished to ensure that a war such as this never happens again. He got his wish, but sadly didn’t live long enough to see the fruits of his wishes.
This book has very little information about the war itself, but since it is free as an eBook, it does give an interesting political insight of the far right’s view of the war, although it is extremely repetitive.
