NCLA Review - The authors focus on the need for Christians to promote what they call a “healthy faith.” This, they describe as one that is not concerned with maintaining the facade of being seen as a “good Christian,” but rather one that follows the teachings of Jesus and the messages of the Bible. Wearing one’s religion on one’s sleeve is far from the core of Christ’s teaching. The book urges a pursuit of other-focused living (loving and serving others) as a hallmark of authentic faith. Simplistic? Perhaps, but the message is valuable to those who have lost the meaning of Christianity in a maze of legalisms. Rating: 3 —GD ( )
