Very cute and engaging book. The children would really be able to visualize reading this book, granted there are only 3 words on each page. This book really helps children focus on the actual word and having the pictures above it to actually compare the words to the visual helps their memory and their sensory visuals. ( )

This book is great way to show kids how to change the positive, comparative, and superlative words and the degree in which they should be used in certain situations. This book is very necessary and gives kids the tools for proper grammar. I would highly recommend this book to anyone from educators to parents. ( )

There are a variety of reasons I like this book. For one, I like how this book uses pictures to help readers gain a better understanding of the words being compared on the page. For example, the three words that are being compared on one page are tall, taller, and tallest. The pages depict 3 images of children building a tower out of blocks. A picture of a small tower over the word "tall", a medium sized tower over the word "taller", and then a large tower over the word "tallest". The next thing I like about this book is how the language is teaching children the ways to properly add -er and -est to the end of words. It's a way to teach children that changing adjectives forms different comparatives and superlatives for different things. The final thing that I really like about this book is how is pushes readers to think about how grammar can change the way we describe and talk about things. It's a book that not only helps language development but also grammar development. Children are learning the definition of words like few, close, heavy, low, etc. and also learning how these words can be built upon like fewer, closer, heavier, lower, etc. ( )

This would be a good book to use with students who need a visual with the word. I love how the author uses one word and its two other forms (small, smaller, smallest). It's a cute way to teach children the difference between words. ( )
