The autobiography book, “Santa My Life and Times,” invites readers into Santa Clause’s life and journey during Christmas. This chapter book shares his magic and brings joy to children. The message of this book portrays the belief of a traditional spirit. I love this book for various reasons. Particularly, the writing is engaging through visionary and whimsical words. For example, on page 62 the words, “One great oaken table, as long as twenty men, laden beyond possibility with fine fruits and cheeses and long loaves of bread, kettles of stew and barrels of sweet honey wine,” lures you into the scene. The language is descriptive and clear as if you are actually experiencing Santa’s life. The book is older, but the illustrations are immaculate. The illustrations match the scenes on each page through vibrant colors and magical characters. Mainly, the pictures fit the written text. The author does an amazing job by clearly writing Santa’s life and times. This book opens up an opportunity for children to fully believe in Santa. ( ) Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
The man, the myth, the legend: Santa Claus. The story behind Santa Claus has always obscured the truth about the real man who lies behind the beard. This is his revealing story, presented for the first time: from his early teenage years when he walked into a forest and was discovered by elves, to his first moments with the future Mrs. Claus, to today -- when Santa brings his message of hope, joy and love to the lives of people around the world. The spectacular full-color artwork is by award-winning artist Bill Sienkiewicz, a favorite among fans of graphic art. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
