This story takes readers on an adventure back into dinosaur time. The story starts with a little boy who finds a timer and presses the button on it. It takes him all the way back to the age of dinosaurs where he barely escapes making it out. When he finds his way back home, he realizes he has taken a dinosaur egg with him which then hatches and he is left taking care of a baby dinosaur. He realizes that the best thing for the dinosaur is to return home so he attaches the timer onto him and presses the button. The story had a fun storyline and good illustrations however, I felt there could have been more to the plot. There was not much more than the boy arriving in dinosaur time and then hurrying to get out. I do think it is a great story for children that they would really enjoy. ( )

This book is an interesting look into time travel. The boys uses a timer to facilitate his travel into prehistoric time. the watercolor illustrations gives the act of time travelling a euphoric look. I would use this book in science when talking about the stars and the moon. ( )
