As strange as it sounds, one of my favorite parts of this book is the introduction. Gary and York reveal insight into their desire to create this book. York’s story especially moved me. Being raised in a family that was hostile toward God, he still sought God in his college years and fully committed to sharing God’s love with others. What an inspiration! The following is a statement is profound:

“First, every single person I’ve ever met has been deeply shaped either by love or lack of love, and second, every single person I’ve ever met desires to experience love differently, according to their love language!”

Seen. Known. Loved. is a small book, and easy to read in one sitting, but the impression it made on me is huge. It explores God’s love for us, and how we can connect better with Him. Of all the love language books I’ve read (I believe I’ve read them all) this is, by far, my favorite.
