This is one of those collections where many of the poems float by not leaving much of an impression, though they're enjoyable at the moment, but then certain poems are so powerful that they beg for immediate re-reading and thought. Hayes' language play makes this collection a worthwhile find, and fun to read....and, those certain poems make it worth sharing and rereading over and over again. And, if you're familiar with Pittsburgh, you'll find references to the city scattered throughout the poems, bringing out right back to the city for the moment of the poem.
