The Diercke Weltatlas is the canonical school atlas in German education and for a very good reason. I was still referring to it years after I quit using it in school and recently bought a newer edition.

I have seen and used some nice atlases in the British and American (and other) educational systems but never saw anything that comes close to matching the utility, thoughtful thematic composition, and cartographical quality of the Diercke. As an atlas and as an educational resource it is without equal. ( )

Diesen Atlas habe ich mir für die Schule gekauft. Er gehörte zu den Anschaffungen die ich als Schüler zu tätigen hatte. Er stellt einen guten Schulatlas dar und war an allen Schulen die ich besucht hatte ein anerkanntes Standard Werck. ( )
