Due once again creates a compelling story that keeps you hooked from the first page. It's interesting to see how old and new characters get woven into the tapestry of the story. The ending makes you feel the need to read the fourth book. (

I'm still enjoying watching this story unfold, even though some of the characters act in ways that don't completely make sense to me. The narrator of the audiobook also makes some accent choices that are kind of strange. I was tickled by the comment in the book that with gas at $6 a gallon, they couldn't afford to waste any, when the last time I filled up the tank, it was at $5.99/gallon. 2008 was longer ago than it seems. (

This starts slowly for me. I'd say the full first half of the book is just painfully slow. Once it gets going, the action is worth it. This is an interesting story and I'd give it 3.75 stars. (

There's nothing I truly object to about this book, and I rather wanted to get through it, but we're not clicking. For one, it's hitting a couple of my "no thanks" buttons: the Special Child and Everyone Fears Death. Oh well.

Also, I see I've done it out of order. Oops.
