On the road to Damascus to arrest Christians, Saul was stricken by a blinding light, spoken to by God & converted to Christianity himself. Slaughter re-creates one of the most dynamic lives in religious history.

A novel about the times, travels, and disputes of the Apostle Paul. Reasonably well-written, and also well-researched. It held my attention, although the pacing is sometimes a little slow. What's more important though, is that the setting is historical, and the characters are human. And: it did not try to sell.
