Así que se pasó todo este cuento comiendo, atravesando página tras página. Hasta que finalmente se convirtió, como todas las orugas, en mariposa. Un libro agujereado de verdad por la muy glotona. Eric Carle writes about the importance of eating healthy foods and avoiding junk foods. Children are able to visualize the healthy foods and the connections to making good food choices. There are many colors and a variety of shapes that introduce knew knowledge to young children. Math is also involved because the caterpillar eats more food each time he travels. There are many lesson plans that could be done by using this book. One thing that I really loved about this book was the colors. They are extremely vibrant and stand out a lot when reading this book making it seem to pop right off of the page! This book (of course) follows a caterpillar who is extremely hungry and can be seen eating tons of unique and different foods. We then see later on that the caterpillar was eating so much so it could transform into a butterfly! I believe that this book would be a good read for primary-age kids and would be a good read-aloud practice book in a classroom!
