Maya told bailey that what she was doing was rude and hurtful and that she didn't want to be friends with someone like that. this teaches children about kindness and sticking up for others.

This book talks about how some children like to communicate with others a lot and sometimes that good because it means they are being social, but sometimes children have to learn when to speak and what to say because sometimes they can say hurtful things to others and ruin friendships.

This is a book about a girl who loves to talk. She talks about so many things, including so many people. At first, her friend thinks it is funny when she talks about people, however quickly realizes that it is actually hurtful to people. Maya realizes she doesn’t want to have a friend like Bailey, and soon she begins losing her friends. This is the fourth book by Trudy Ludwig that deals with bullying and relational aggression in children.

This book shows bullying in one of its most common forms, gossiping. Gossiping is very real, and many times students do not realize how harmful it is to their other classmates. This book shows students the effects of gossiping, and how it can cause them to lose friends. The book is great to use after you have introduced bullying to the class, as it focuses on a certain type of gossiping.

The overall designing of the book--including the dust jacket, front, and backboard covers, end pages, title and dedication pages are all very coordinated and appropriate for a child from 5-6. I found the choice of the font to be very appropriate as well. Some times too much font disengage a child from actually paying attention. ( )

Trouble Talk is about two girls - Maya and Bailey. At first, Maya really likes her new friend Bailey. She's funny and likes to chatter. But Bailey doesn't know where to stop - she can't keep secrets and she tells people things that should be secrets - or that aren't even true! With help from adults, Maya confronts Bailey and repairs her relationships with her old friends. There's no easy solution - Bailey is still a gossip, and her "friends" still feel hurt. But Bailey isn't demonized; Maya admits she wishes they were still friends and hopes someday Bailey will learn how to be a friend. ( )
