No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. neil gaiman yoshitaka amano = slay ( ![]() Cool artwork in this one, especially the huge spread of the "King of All Night's Dreaming". The Neil Gaiman/Yoshitaka Amano collaboration really worked for a Sandmanesque retelling of this Japanese folktale. I recommend reading the Afterward on the last page-Gaiman's story of how this book came about. (pagina 128) Five Stars for the ILLUSTRATIONS!!!!! FIVE STARS for the LOVE between the Fox and his Monk!!!! (1/2 star off for the low key needless violence.) This is more of an illustrated story than a graphic novel. Amano's artwork and the Japanese aesthetic rein in Gaiman's excessive tendency to throw in the kitchen sink, in this telling, retelling actually, of the story of the fox and the monk. The story is wonderful and the artwork even more so. Amano really should have gotten top billing since Gaiman is basically just retelling a Japanese fairy tale with some Sandman flourishes. Thoroughly enjoyable although not really part of the Sandman canon. This was a 10th anniversary project celebrating the Sandman comic. Whoever was really responsible for this collaboration should get the real credit. Sadly this book actually belongs to my daughter... Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

Set in ancient Japan, this lyrical tale follows the ill-fated romance between a humble young monk and a magical, shape-changing she-fox. When the fox stumbles upon a band of demons discussing a plot to steal the monk's life through a dream trap, it will take all the fox's craftiness-and the intervention of Morpheus-to save him. Combining prose with stunning full-page paintings, The Dream Hunters also showcases Amano's art with an eight-page gatefold bringing an ethereal beauty to Morpheus and other classic Sandman characters.
