S'està carregant… The Last Olympiande Rick Riordan
![]()
Reread. This series is so wonderful. It's full of adventure, excitement, and sadness. I can't believe Percy's adventures are over, but I expect him and Annabeth and Grover to pop up in the later series; they are the O.G.s now. ( ![]() This is the last book in this series, although there are more set in this universe with Percy and his friends. I really enjoyed the entire series. Riordan has excellent pacing and his fight scenes are gripping. Although by the 5th book, I can see there's a pattern in each one, but hey, he makes it work. The use of prophecies that are vague enough to keep you guessing is also done well. Es muy buen libro para preadolescentes, ya que trata indirectamente temáticas sociales importantes, como son el clasismo o la homosexualidad. Además es una buena fuente de información sobre mitología griega. I read the last four of this series in pretty rapid sucession of around three days. I mostly remember that they sort of blurred together. They weren't the most fantastic of children's literature, but I had a lot of fun trying to predict Olympian references and guest appearances before the books would tell you who it was. I'm not a fan of children's books where a large percentage of the characters, good and bad, die in some all out climactic war just to offer some finality, but I know good writing when I see it. This was well done, even when it was difficult to take. It certainly didn't hold back any punches, and if someone managed to hang on through everything that has happened so far to this young band of heroes, this last volume won't disappoint. Just bring a box of kleenex and realize that not everyone is going to make it out alive.
The action, never leisurely in any of the five books in the series, runs at a frantic pace here — monsters pop out with a rapidity that becomes almost predictable, except that they are so enjoyably hair-raising, and that Riordan has such clever ways of dispatching them. Contingut aTé l'adaptació
The long-awaited prophecy surrounding Percy Jackson's sixteenth birthday unfolds as he leads an army of young demigods to stop Kronos in his advance on New York City, while the Olympians struggle to contain the rampaging monster, Typhon. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
