This is an excellent resource for those wishing to start a system of Bible study. The language of the NIV is very easy to understand. The Sudent Bible also offers study helps that range from looking at one verse of scripture to longer study topics. It also provides you with a bible reading guide. I would say that this Bible is more geared for the average lay-man or beginning student than a deep theologian, but it is a wonderful Bible.
I love this bible. The notes for selected verses provide interesting and insightful information. My only complaint is that the words of Jesus aren't in red letters. ( )
