S'està carregant… The Grouchy Ladybug (1977)de Eric Carle
![]() No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. This book was illustrated by Eric Carle, who uses collage style art in his illustrations. This story has a Scholastic Readability Level of Grades K-2. In the book, a grouchy ladybug turns down the chance to share aphids with the friendly ladybug. Throughout the day, he proceeds to challenge bigger and bigger competitors but moves on saying they aren't "big enough." At the end of the day, he ends up tired and hungry, but the friendly ladybug still offers to share the aphids with him. He eats them and realizes that it would have been easier to share than to try to pick a fight. The story has a great moral message that I would use to share with students. It also shows the events as a sequential progression of time. At the end, I would have students take turns (sharing) placing different events into the correct designated section of the clock that the event occurred with the support of the book and their classmates. ( ![]() THE GROUCHY LADYBUG tells the story of a very grouchy ladybug who begins the story as being greedy and mean to a friendly ladybug who wanted to share breakfast. The grouchy ladybug then goes through the day, meeting new bugs and animals, and trying to pick fights even though these bugs were "not big enough" as he flew away. After being grouchy all day, he was sent back to the original spot where he met the friendly ladybug, who offered to share their dinner. They did share them, and the two ladybugs went to sleep. This book can be used as lesson but also as showing repetitive text. This book is a good book for young kids to learn that you should be nice to others and share. The grouchy ladybug doesn't want to share with the nice ladybug and then he goes and tries to find someone to fight with until he realizes that he isn't as big and bad as he thought he was. Although he was brave, he was also a little too cocky. He realizes that he should have just shared in the first place. This is a great thing to teach to kids also kids tend to find this book quite amusing too. A grouchy ladybug wants to pick a fight, and bites off more than he can chew, unlike a certain hungry caterpillar. This book is simple, fun, and good for kids!
