Jonathan wird ob seiner Lust auf die füllige Deborah gehänselt und Aufreisser Dino kann nicht im Bett bei Jackie landen. - Eine sehr offene Auseinandersetzung mit der Sexualität von Jugendlichen. (books.google.de) I'll be perfectly honest: I don't know what my feelings on this book are. I'm inclined to call the characters whiney little high schoolers but they're much deeper than that. The fact is, each character has their own sh*t, and to them its the worst kind. As annoying as that is to read, it is human nature. I don't feel like anything was fully resolved in this book. I feel like Burgess just left so many subplots unfinished, and not in the exciting cliffhanger sort of way. I also don't care, which is weird and alarming and goes back to me not knowing how I feel. Follows the sexcapades of three horny teens: Dino, Ben and Jonathan. Dino, the best-looking guy in school finally lands Jackie, the prettiest girl in school. But despite their fooling around, she won't go all the way. So Dino does Zoe while he waits for Jackie to come around. Ben was seduced by a 20-something teacher and has been trapped in this relationship for 3 years; now he years for a girl his age. Jonathan has started to date overweight Deborah, a girl who's the butt of his buddies' jokes but whom he likes a lot. Lots of graphic sex scenes and language. Just because they're getting some doesn't mean it's all happiness and light. The book opens with a fairly honest conversation about how some teenage males might talk about sex, which might initially be very appealing for teen readers. However, I think the slightly odd style of writing and slightly outdated slang might make the book less appealing for modern teens, , which is why I would give the writing at 2Q and a 2P. The book had a slightly ironic feel to it. How two popular, attractive students are drawn together to "do it." Lust becomes a real and powerful force, which intoxicates the teens in the book and is a very powerful force. That feels real to the teen experience, but I still am not sure if teens would pick this up and want to read it. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
