Til David Fra Sølve Sivertsen Fadder 15.1.95 "In this magnificently illustrated edition of the Bible, all the best-loved stories of both Old and New Testaments are retold for young readers by Selina Hastings. Her fluent, lively style reflects the character and majesty of the original, while vivid and finely detailed illustrations by Eric Thomas bring to life the people and places referred to in the stories." Source: Amazon.com. This work was produced with the help of a large group of consultants, including eight religious consultants, an educational consultant, an historical consultant on the Old Testament and one on the New Testament. This book includes maps of the lands of the Old and New Testaments. A table of contents makes it easy to use and it is well indexed. This is actually a book of Bible stories but is an excellent introduction to the Bible for children and can enrich the Bible knowledge of adults too. The illustrations not only illustrate the stories, but show what oil lamps, chariots, Roman uniforms, and many other items looked like; there are also some photographs of places mentioned. Highly recommended. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
