The kids had a fun time as I tried to translate some of the words to them in Spanish. We have a few Hispanics in our daycare so I had one come and sit with me in class to assist in pronunciations of the words. The number and colors we go over daily so that was that bad. But some of the pronunciations of the animals and a few of the sentence we all had a hard time with. It was a learning experience for us all.
For the day when we colored I had them only use the Spanish word for the colors. Purple-púrpura, Blue-azul, Red-rojo, etc. On another day we all tried to say some of the toy they play with a lot in Spanish. Like block-bloque, doll-muñeca and cars-coche. (
