Dopo aver letto (fino in fondo...) e apprezzato tanti romanzi di King, devo confessare che qui l'ho mollato dopo 150 faticosissime pagine.
Sommando una trama prolissa, l'uso di un linguaggio che a voler essere buoni definirei "strano" e aggiungendo la solita fastidiosa traduzione di Dobner (Dio lo abbia in gloria...) per me è stata una completa delusione.
Ammiro chi lo definisce un capolavoro, ma personalmente mi associo ai tanti che hanno stroncato questo libro. ( )

Spannend, aangrijpend en een heel intiem boek. Ik vind het echt een totaal ander boek van Stephen King, hoewel er weer genoeg wreedheid en pure doodsangst in zit. Mooi! ( )

Eigentlich lese ich Stephen King gern. Ich mag seinen Stil, vor allem, wenn es keine zu Horror-lastigen Bücher sind. Daher dachte ich, dass dieses Buch genau das Richtige für mich sein könnte.
Allerdings hat es mich nicht umgehauen. Genau das, was ich normalerweise mag, der Schreibstil, war mir in diesem Buch sehr fremd. Aber er passt natürlich zum Inhalt.
Lisey, die Witwe des berühmten Schriftstellers Scott Landon, wird bedroht und muss sich der Vergangenheit stellen. Scott hatte eine ganz schreckliche Kindheit und es ist an Lisey, ihre Spuren aufzuarbeiten.
Ich mochte das Buch grundsätzlich, auch wenn es mich nicht restlos begeistert hat. Ich glaube, das lag daran, dass man wenig über Lisey als Person aus eigenem Recht erfährt. Sie lebt für Scott und ihre Schwestern. Dass Lisey tough ist, wird im Buch deutlich, aber sie wird auschließlich in ihrem Kümmern um andere gezeigt.
Insgesamt dachte ich schon darüber nach, wie viel von Scott in Stephen King steckt. ( )

Holaaaa amigos y amigas de los libros. Esta vez traigo una reseña de una maravilla de Stephen King, del que llevo leyendo más de 25 años. Son pocas sus obras que me faltan por leer y esta era una de ellas.

Es una historia muy emotiva de amor, pero escrita al estilo King y sin ser de terror contiene pasajes verdaderamente terroríficos, que dan miedito del bueno. Es una lectura compleja y lenta, sobre todo la primera parte, pero para nada tediosa. Es de las que se disfruta lentamente.

Lo que la hace compleja es su estructura, que está formada por distintas tramas en diferentes líneas temporales divididas a su vez en subtramas a lo que hay que añadir el mundo fantástico. ¡Eahh aquí queda eso!.

¿Y de qué va?. Pues vamos al lío.

La trama principal corresponde a Lisey afrontando el duelo tras quedarse viuda de Scott, un famoso escritor. Comienza a vivir una serie de situaciones límite y peligros, provocados por seguidores de su marido y a esto habría que sumarle que su hermana entra en estado catatónico.

Para pasar página en el duelo, Lisey comienza el desmontaje del estudio de Scott, lo que le provoca recuerdos de y con Scott. Su relación y la vida del escritor se nos irá relatando. En esta línea se intercalan las narraciones de la infancia de Scott, la cual ha sido muy dura.

En cuanto con los personajes se disfrutan mucho. Lisey una mujer fuerte, una maravilla de personaje, y un Scott traumatizado, ambos son unos personajes muy complejos que llegaremos a quererlos. En cuanto al resto no se profundiza mucho ni siquiera con el malo malisimo.

Durante el desarrollo de la novela aparecen conceptos como "estado de mal rollo" y palabras tales como "Dáliva", "Boo'ya Moon", inkub, etc, que no sabremos el significado hasta ir descubriendo a lo largo de la lectura.

Y el broche final es magnífico, con un final emotivo e impactante.

Muy recomendable, y otra serie tv que tengo pendiente para comparar, ya que esta novela tiene adaptación.
