This is a book about two cats who discover that they are very much alike despite their outward differences. This would be a great way to introduce a discussion about diversity and acceptance. ( ) This book was a great read. It helps others understand that many people from various cultures are obviously different, but yet so much alike! It helps children understand that yes, many people look different (which is the obvious part,) but yet many of these "different" people may like or want a variety of the same things. This helps children see that it is ok to be different because "we" are not really that much different after all. We are all human beings and usually want some of the same things: friends, family, and happiness. Diversity should be accepted and embraced, but once everyone looks past the obvious differences, they will start to notice how much more alike they are then different.
