Oedipus, a legendary figure seems to fail at passing one of the milestones in male sexual development. The dirty bits aren't bad, and the story itself has many resonances to the standard mythological treatment, with a mid-sixties gloss. Entertaining, but not profond. ( )

i am not fond of these ancient stories. i remembered henry treece as a writer of juvenile/young adult fiction. i really liked his books when i was about 14. ( )
