Francesca Simon's book is about a grandpa dog and a puppy grandson. The puppy ran off and got lost. The puppy learned its lesson to always stay with a grown up no matter how much you want something and you have to wait. The book can teach a small child that staying with a grown up is the right thing to do and teaches morels.

Summary:
This book is about Harry and his grandpa going to the grocery store. But Harry decided to walk off to find that lovely smell of Cinnamon rolls. Then Harry's grandpa started running around the store trying to find him. Then when Harry found the cinnamon rolls he realized that he did not know where he was. Harry and his grandpa finally were able to find each other.

Personal Reaction:
I never ran away from my mom I will always stay close to her. But brother did run away from mom at K-Mart. He wanted to play hide-an-seek with us, but we did not know he was playing. My mom found him in between the racks. This book is a great book to read to little kids it shows them that it is scary to run away.

Classroom extensions:
1. Ask the students to write about a time they missed there mom and dad, or a time they got lost.
2. Have a discussion on staying with a partner or with your parents.

Summary: This book is a really cute book, I really enjoyed it. This story is about a puppy and his Grandpa going to the store to get some food when all of a sudden Harry "puppy" caught the smell of cupcakes. Then his Grandpa discovered that Harry was gone; so he looked and looked and looked some more until they finally ran right into each other. Then they was happy.
Personal Reaction: I thought this book was really cute. I think this book would be a good book for kindergarten. It would make you laugh, it's a great book!
Classroom Extension Idea: 1. I would have the kids play hid and seek and let me see if I could find them. 2. They could do some art work and draw Harry the puppy. ( )

This book is about a puppy and his grandpa going to the store. In this story the animals can talk. As son as Grnadpa dog and Harry the puppy walk through the doors of the store Harry smells cupcakes and runs to find them.After getting into a lot of mischief and finding the cupcakes Harry notices that Grandpa dog was gone! So he runs around the store and grabs a man leg who he thought was him but he was wrong! When he finally found him they were both very happy.

This story is great to show kids not to wonder off. This story was alittle shorter and hold younger children attention better the some other books.

I can relate to this book was there were many times I lost my mom in stores and would just sit down on the floor and cry.
