This was a fun read, though it didn't stand out to me in any particular way. The gods and goddesses of Olympia are treated as regular beings (well, mostly), rather like an origins story for superheroes, which I particularly liked. I've read other books about gods where they're treated as such, and it's always more fun for the stories to be told without the characters being deities.

It's not a book that I look to reread all that often, but I have recommended it to friends who also enjoy retellings of old stories, and I find that it's one of the better romance novels I've come across. ( )
